1. Cross-pollination:
The transfer of pollen grains from the anther of one plant to the stigma of another different plant is called cross-pollination.
It is also called xenogamy.
It occurs with the help of external agents called pollinating agents.
2. Example:
Anemophily by wind, zoophily by animals, and entomophily by insects are common examples of pollinating agents.
Anthropophily is artificial pollination that is carried out by human beings.
