Erythrocytes Leucocytes
They function in the transport of oxygen throughout the body and in the removal of carbon dioxide from the body. They help in the defence of the body against disease-causing pathogens.

(b) An artery carries blood away from the heart whereas a vein brings blood towards the heart.
(c) An artery generally contains oxygenated blood whereas a vein generally carries deoxygenated blood.
(d) The tricuspid valve is located between the right atrium and right ventricle of the heart whereas a bicuspid valve is located between the left atrium and left ventricle of the heart.
