The correct option is B $\frac{- 5}{12}$
Sum of $\frac{5}{12}$ and $\frac{- 17}{24} = \frac{10 - 17}{24} = \frac{- 7}{24} . . . . . . . . . (1)$

Product of $\frac{2}{5}$ and $\frac{7}{4} = \frac{2 \times 7}{5 \times 4} = \frac{14}{20} . . . . . . . . (2)$

$∴$ Dividing $(1)$ by $(2)$ we get $\frac{- \frac{7}{24}}{\frac{14}{20}} = \frac{- 5}{12}$
