Do arteries carry blood to the heart?

Blood:

Arteries:

1. These are blood vessels that run throughout the body responsible for carrying oxygen-rich blood from the heart to various different parts.
2. These are comparatively thicker than veins and are made of smooth muscles.
3. Arteries do not carry blood to the heart.
4. They are responsible for carrying oxygen-rich blood from the heart to different parts of the body.
5. Aorta is the largest artery in the body that opens up in the heart.
6. The oxygen-rich blood is pumped from the heart through the aorta to the arteries for distribution.
