Open in App
Solution

Part-1 Given data:

  1. Mass of compound =30g
  2. Volume of solution =4.3L

Part-2: Calculate the molar mass(M) of Co(NO3)2.6H2O

M=58.93+(14×2)+(16×6)+(6×2)+(6×16)=290.93gmol-1.

Part-3:Calculate number of moles(n)

Number of moles =Givenmass(m)Molarmass(M)=30290.93=0.103mol

Part-4: Calculate molarity(M)

  1. Molarity is defined as the number of moles of solute per litre of solution.
  2. M=0.1034.3=0.024M
