Solution

(i) Side of a cube (a) = 4 cm
Volume=a3=(4)3cm3
= 4×4×4=64cm3
(ii) Side of a cube (a) = 8 cm
Volume=a3=(8)3
= 8×8×8cm3=512cm3
(iii) Side of a cube (a) = 1.5 dm= 15 cm
Volume=a3=(1.5)3dm2=(15)3cm3
= 15×15×15=3375cm3
(iv) Side of a cube (a) = 1.2 m= 120 cm
Volume=a3=(120)3cm3
= 120×120×120=1728000cm3
(v) Side of a cube (a) = 25 mm= 2.5 cm
Volume=a3=(2.5)3cm3
