Solution

\(\bullet\) Interphase is the longest part of the cell cycle. It lasts more than \(95\%\) of the duration of cell cycle.

\(\bullet\) Interphase. Also known as the resting phase of the cell cycle; interphase is the time during which the cell prepares for division by undergoing both cell growth and \(DNA\) replication. It includes the following stages:

\(G_1\) phase \((\text{First growth phase}).\)

\(S\) phase \((\text{Synthesis phase}).\)

\(G_2\) phase \((\text{Second growth phase}).\)
