Renal artery:

1. There are two renal arteries present in our body, one each for the kidney.
2. Renal arteries carry blood from the aorta (heart’s main artery) to the kidney.

Afferent arteriole:

1. It is formed by the branches of the renal artery.
2. The blood present in this arteriole is full of waste products, and it is also very thin.

Glomerulus:

1. The glomerulus is the bunch of capillaries that are situated in the cavity of the Bowman’s capsule (which collects the primary filtrate).
2. It is formed by the afferent arteriole, which is broader, and then it gives rise to the efferent arteriole, which is narrow.

Efferent arteriole:

1. Efferent arterioles are formed by the joining of glomerulus capillaries.
2. They are narrower than the afferent arteriole. And the blood present in it is thick and waste-free.

Renal vein:

1. As filtered blood leaves the kidney through the renal vein and then it circulates throughout the body.
