How many eggs does a woman have in her lifetime?

Reproductive life of female:

1. A female is born with all the eggs that she is going to have throughout her lifetime, which is approximately 2 million eggs.
2. No more new eggs are synthesized or added after that.
3. One egg is released from either of the two ovaries in each menstrual cycle.
4. Either the egg gets fertilized or it gets destroyed if the woman is not pregnant.
5. This includes approximately 400-500 eggs throughout her lifetime.
6. As the woman ages and start to reach menopause rest of the remaining gets destroyed, broken down, or disappears.
7. Hence, there will be no eggs left in either of the ovaries.
