Vitamin:

  1. Vitamins are complex organic compounds. These are required in our body in a minimal amount but their deficiency can cause severe abnormalities. These regulate activities of our body, that's why also called as regulators.
  2. Total 15 vitamins are found in human body.
  3. Some vitamins are fat soluble. ( Vit. A, Vit. D, Vit. E and Vit. K).
  4. Some are water-soluble. (Vit C and Vit. B complex)
  5. The amount of all vitamins that the body requires is as follows:
  1. Vitamin A - 700 μgram.
  2. Vitamin B complex - 100mg
  3. Vitamin C - 75 mg
  4. Vitamin D - 5 μgram
  5. Vitamin E - 10 mg
  6. Vitamin K - 80 μgram
