Since Mass Ratio of H:Cl=1:35.5 in HCl and Na:H=23:1 in NaH, and

So, for 1 gm of H we are having 35.5 gm of Cl and 23 gm Na

When two elements combine separately with a third element & form different types of molecules, their combining ratio is reciprocated if they combine directly. This is called Law of Reciprocal proportions.
