  • Infectious diseases are illnesses that are contagious, meaning they can be spread from one person to another. Infectious diseases are caused by microorganisms, called pathogens i.e. Typhoid, Tuberculosis.
  • Non-Infectious diseases are illnesses that are non-contagious, meaning they can't be spread from one person to another. These are not caused by any microorganisms i.e. Goiter, Marasmus.
