  4. Nine doublets surround a pair of single microtubules in the center, which are grouped on the periphery.
  5. The core of the flagella is known as the axoneme.
  6. The plasma membrane covers the flagella.
  7. Flagella whips around in a whip-like motion.
  8. ATP provides energy for the movement of eukaryotic flagella.
