Solution

The correct option is B

1

Find the value of λ:

Given that [a×bb×cc×a]=λ[abc]2

Taking LHS, [a×bb×cc×a]

=(a×b).((b×c)×(c×a))

So, (a×b)×(c×d)=[abd]c[abc]d

Thus, (a×b)([bca]c[bcc]a

Since,[bcc]=0

Therefore (a×b)([bca]c)

=(a×b).c[bca]=[abc][bca]=[abc]2[[bca]=[abc]=[cab]]

As per the given question,

λ[abc]2=[abc]2

Thus, λ=1

Hence, the correct option is (B).
