Construction : Draw DNAB and PMAM

Proof : ar(||gmABCD)=base×altitude=AB×DN
From (i) and (ii)
DN > PM or PM < DN
AB×PM<AB×DNAB×PM<12AB×DNar(PAB)<12ar||gm(ABCD)
