The correct option is B 8
Let the smallest even number = x
So, other two consecutive even numbers will be x + 2 and x + 4.
Sum of three consecutive even numbers = 30
x + (x + 2) + (x + 4) = 30
3x + 6 = 30
Subtruct 6 from both the sides
3x + 6 - 6 = 30 - 6
3x = 24
Divide both the sides by 3
x = 8
Hence, smallest even number = 8
