Open in App
Solution

Answer:
The small intestine receives digestive enzymes such as trypsin and pancreatic amylase which favours the digestion of proteins and carbohydrates, respectively.

The inner wall of the small intestine contains finger-like projection known as villi which increases the surface area of absorption of digested food.
