The correct option is D


If m2=2m1, then m2 moves vertically downward with acceleration

a=m2m1 sinθm1+m2g=2m1m1 sin 30m1+2m1g=g2

If the position of masses are reversed then m2 moves downward with acceleration

a=m2 sinθm1m1+m2g=2m1 sin 30m1m1+2m1.g=0[As m2=2m1]

i.e. the m2 will not move.
