Color blindness is a sex-related hereditary disorder, and it is the most common type.
It's an X-linked recessive condition. Male offspring are disproportionately affected by the disease.
If a mother is a carrier of the disease, there is a 50% chance that her son will be colorblind.
A female must be born colorblind if her mother is at least a carrier and her father is colorblind.
