Question
Is female homogametic?

Solution
Homogametic:
The female is the homogametic sex in humans.
The sex of a species in which the sex chromosomes are not the same is known as heterogametic sex (digametic sex).
The heterogametic sex, for example, is male with an X and a Y chromosome, while the homogametic sex is female with two X chromosomes.
All female gametes carry the X chromosome as their sex chromosome.
The ZW sex-determination system determines the sex of offspring in birds, some fishes, and crustaceans.
The homogametic sex is the male in other animal species, such as some birds and reptiles.
Because they have two Z chromosomes, all gametes they create will have only one Z chromosome.
