Solution
Photosynthesis:
The physiological process, by which plants use carbohydrates (sugar), with the absorption of light energy, carbon dioxide (CO2), and water (H2O) as raw materials.
Adaptation:
It refers to the state of adjusting to becoming more suited or fit to an environment.
Following are the adaptions found in plants to favor the process of photosynthesis.
The destined flattened leaf blade, thinness, and broadness of leaves make it morphologically favorable for absorption of sunlight and CO2.
Presence of numerous stomata on the surface (either only on both surfaces or on lower) of leaves for quicker and easier exchange of gases with the atmosphere.
Orientation of leaves at an angle (right angle) such that maximum sunlight falls on leaves. So that more photosynthesis would occur.
