The three types of terrestrial habitat are:

2. Mountain habitat: These habitats comprise rocky land covered with ice and snow. Temperature changes with an increase in the altitude on the mountains. E.g. Pine trees, fir trees, mountain goat, sheep, yak, etc.

3. Polar habitat: These habitats are extremely cold and covered with snow throughout the year. Vegetation is very scanty and only few animals thrive in these harsh weather conditions. E.g. Polar bears, reindeer, penguins and plants like moss, etc.
