$H_{2} S O_{4} + K N O_{3} \to H N O_{3} + K H S O_{4}$
The formed nitric acid dissociates to give nitrogen dioxide, water and oxygen gas.
The equation of dissociation of nitric acid is as follows:
$4 H N O_{3} \to O_{2} + 2 H_{2} O + 4 N O_{2}$
