Neuron:
Neurons are the cells that constitute the nervous system and are responsible for transmitting, receiving and conducting impulses between the nervous system and different body parts.
Neurons are of two types: motor and sensory.
Sensory neurons then transmit the impulses from the receptor to the central nervous system for processing.
Hence, the neuron that transmits impulses from the receptor to the central nervous system is the sensory neuron.
