Question

charge of one electron is 1.6022 * 10^-19 coulomb. what is the total charge on 1 mole of electron?if there is same amountof charge on one proton, calculate total charge on 1 mole of protons.

Open in App
Solution

Charge of 1 electron = 1.6022×10-19 C
Charge of 1 mole or 6.022×1023 electrons = 6.022×1023 ×1.6022×10-19 C = 9.648×104 C

The charge of proton and electron is same. Hence, charge of 1 mole of protons is equal to charge of 1 mole of electrons.
