In Liliaceae family, the ovary is superior and trilocular, with two to many ovules in each loculus. The gynoecium has three fused carpels, i.e., tricarpellary, syncarpous condition. Liliaceae exhibit axile placentation. In axile placentation, the ovules are found attached to the axial placenta in a multilocular ovary.
