Solution

A person is said to be disease-free when their physical, mental, and social well-being is maintained.

The two major conditions essential for being disease-free are:

  1. Personal hygiene.
  2. Clean environment.

Personal hygiene:

  • It is governed by personal habits of hygiene and precautionary measures to sustain a healthy life.
  • Personal health can be maintained by following a balanced diet, exercising, avoiding substance abuse, and going for regular medical check-ups to screen for the development of any disease in addition to maintaining cleanliness in and around us.
  • A disease or disorder in an individual can be controlled with effective medication and proper care. It is easier to cure when only a single or a few individuals are affected by the disease.

Clean environment:

  • It involves several factors that are dependent on the individuals that are a part of that community.
  • It can be maintained by various awareness programs like educating the masses, conducting regular community cleaning campaigns, and holding vaccination camps helps in maintaining community health.
  • A clean environment limits the spread of disease and prevents any form of an insect, air, or waterborne disease to spread.
