State the different types of levers. Give two examples of each.

The following are the three types of levers:

(i) Class I levers: In these levers, the fulcrum F is situated between the effort E and the load L. A crowbar, a seesaw, and a pair of scissors
(ii) Class II levers: In these levers, the load L is situated between the effort E and the fulcrum F. The load arm is always longer than the effort arm as a result of this. A bottle opener and a nutcracker.

(iii) Class III levers: The effort E is located between the fulcrum F and the load L in these levers, and the effort arm is always smaller than the load arm. Sugar tongs, for example, are used to lift a load with the forearm.
