The correct option is D 40 , 30
For XY2:
0.1 mole of XY2=10 g
1 mole of XY2=100 g
X+2Y=100 (i)
For X3Y2:
0.05 mole of X3Y2=9 g
1 mole of X3Y2=180 g
3X+2Y=180 (ii)
On solving for X and Y, we get;
X=40
and Y=30

Hence, the correct answer is option (a).
