1) Reproductive cells

1. The male and female reproductive systems consist of specialized cells involved in reproduction. When these cells fuse together, they are capable of producing a new organism.
2. Cell A is an ova or egg. It is produced in the female reproductive system by the ovaries.
3. Cell B is a sperm. It is produced in the male reproductive system by the testes.

2) Cells produced in the male reproductive system:

1. Sperms are produced in the testes in the seminiferous tubules which consist of germinal epithelium

3) Place of the union of reproductive cells:

1. The sperm from the male reproductive system and the ova in the female reproductive system unite in the ampulla-isthmus junction which is a part of the fallopian tube.

4) Hormones of the reproductive system

1. Hormones are chemical messengers released by the endocrine glands directly into the blood.
2. They are very much target specific and influence only their target organs' functioning.

Hormones secreted by ovaries

1. The ovary secretes estrogen and progesterone.
2. The empty ovarian follicle after releasing the ova develops into the corpus luteum. It secretes these hormones and helps in the preparation of the uterus for the implantation of a fertilized egg.

Hormones secreted by the testis

1. The testes comprise the Leydig or interstitial cells that are present in between the seminiferous tubules.
2. Leydig cells secrete the hormone testosterone.
