Given that,

Magnification M=2

Then, we know that

Magnification

2=vu

Also, we know that,

120=12u1u

120=12u

1u=110

u=10cm

Now, According to given question,

m=vu

v=2u

Also,

1f=1v1u

120=12u1u

32u=120

u=30cm.

So, the object has to moved by |30||10|=20cm.

Hence, this is the answer.
