Open in App
Solution

Given: Weight ratio

Tin : Zinc =2:5

Let the common factor between Tin and Zinc be x.

Weight of Tin =2x

Weight of Zinc =5x
Total weight of Alloy = Weight of Tin + Weight of Zinc =31.5g (Given)
2x+5x=31.5
7x=31.5
x=4.5
Hence,
Weight of Tin =2x=2×4.5=9 g
Weight of Zinc =5x=5×4.5=22.5 g
