Solution

The correct option is B 1.32%
Given,

n1=1.49
n2=1.50
n3=1.52
n4=1.54
n5=1.48

Mean value, nm=n1+n2+n3+n4+n55

nm=1.49+1.50+1.52+1.54+1.485=1.505

nm=1.51

Absolute error,

|Δn1|=nmn1=1.511.49=0.02
|Δn2|=nmn2=1.511.50=0.01
|Δn3|=n3nm=1.511.52=0.01
|Δn4|=nmn4=1.541.51=0.03
|Δn5|=nmn5=1.511.48=0.03

The mean of absolute error,

Δnm=0.02+0.01+0.01+0.03+0.035

Δnm=0.02

Percentage error, Δnmnm×100=0.021.51×100=1.32%

The correct option is B.
