Let a be the length of the edge of the cube.
Total surface area $= 6 a^{2} = 1176 c m^{2}$
$\Rightarrow a = \sqrt{\frac{1176}{6}} = \sqrt{196} = 14 c m$
∴ Volume $= a^{3} = 14^{3} = 2744 c m^{3}$
