Solution

It is true that trees are like "green gold". It is due to their presence there is variation in climate. More trees and forests lead to more rainfall. As in case of tropical evergreen forests which are dense and thick and bring heavy rainfall. On thje other hand, lack of trees lead to low or no rainfall causing drought as in case of deserts which face severe droughts and is arid which is mainly due to dearth of trees.
