Resultant molarity
M=M1V1+M2V2V1+V2
Case I: when solution are mixed in the ratio of x:y by volume
1.5=3x+yx+y
or, 3x+y=1.5x+1.5y
1.5x=0.5y
xy=13
Case II: when solution are mixed in the ratio of y:x means 3:1.
M=3×3+1×11=104=2.5
