Solution

Biocatalyst:

  1. The biological catalysts are the specific molecules that can enhance the biological functions.
  2. The enzymes are the biological catalysts which increases the rate of biological reaction and induce the formation of products.
  3. Therefore, processes like digestion and respiration can take place only in the presence of biocatalysts in the system.

Examples:

  1. Digestive enzymes like trypsin and pepsin.
  2. These initiate and make the breakdown reaction of protein into amino acids faster.
  3. Enzymes are also used in your daily life daily to improve the performance of detergents, make beer and wine, process food, allow diagnostic laboratories, etc.
