They can be of the following shapes:

1. Bacillus: These bacteria are rod shaped for example Bacillus thuringiensis.
2. Coccus: Bacteria or oval shaped or round shaped for example Staphylococcus aureus.
3. Spirilum: These bacteria are spiral shaped for example Treponema pallidum.
