4. These sites have palindromic sequences of nitrogenous bases.
5. Each palindrome has a specific endonuclease.
6. EcoRI is a restriction endonuclease that is found in Escherichia coli that recognizes a palindromic sequence GAATTC in both strands of DNA in the 5'-3' direction.
