Urea:

  1. The final nitrogenous emissions product of many organisms.
  2. The main solid constituents of mammal urine are synthesized from ammonia and carbon dioxide and are used as fertilizer in animal feed and in plastics.
  3. The urea cycle results in the formation of molecules from ammonia and carbon dioxide.

Disadvantages of urea:

  1. Urea can only be used after it has been kept at room temperature for 4-5 days.
  2. Excessive use of urea can easily damage the fertilizer.
  3. Urea should always be used sometime in advance as it takes a long time for it to take effect.
  4. Urea can cause inflammation of the skin, eyes, and respiratory tract.
