Solution

Instructions:
  • Define deforestation
  • Explain the reasons for wildlife destruction
  • Explain the measures to preserve wildlife.
Solution:
Destruction of wildlife is the rapid loss of species due to environmental forces such as habitat fragmentation, climate change, natural disaster, overexploitation by humans and pollution.

Reasons for wildlife destruction:
  • Humans interfere in the natural habitat of wildlife for agriculture and settlement.
  • Deforestation is one of the main reasons for wildlife extinction as it destroys their habitat.
  • Overexploitation of forests in terms of illegal mining leaves wildlife without shelter which makes them difficult to survive.
  • Poaching or illegal hunting for the hair and skin of animals for manufacturing medicines and cosmetics is another underlying reason that takes the life of animals.
  • Pollution of air, water, and soil causes diseases that lead to the death of animals.
Measures to preserve wildlife:
  • Maintain a healthy balance between herbivores and carnivores.
  • Showing empathy towards the forest and taking responsibility for saving them.
  • Strict punishments should be inflicted for illegal mining.
  • Ban hunting completely to maintain the ecosystem and to protect endangered species from the threat of extinction.
  • Changing our attitude towards the forest, taking steps to spread the word about wildlife importance, avoiding misuse of natural resources and making people aware of important conservation concepts such as biodiversity, sustainability and recovery of endangered species.
