What do you understand by the term sublimation?

• Sublimation: It is defined as the process in which a substance upon heating will get converted from a solid state to a gaseous state.
• No intermediate state will be formed in between.
• For example Sublimation of camphor, sublimation of iodine(I₂), etc.
