Solution
Equilibrium is a state of equality attained by a system in which no change is observed.
It means a system attains its stability.
Equilibrium originated from the Latin word' Aequilbrium in which "aequi" means equal and "libra" means the scale.
In chemistry, we often use this term in the reaction, any system, etc.
Take an example of a chemical reaction in which the rate of concentration of reactant molecules is equal to the product concentration.
This signifies that equilibrium is attained and no further reactants changes to form the product.
