Cleavage:
Cleavage is the process of the division of cells in an early embryo.
One large zygote gets divided into multiple smaller cells.
During cleavage:
The cells divide without any increase in mass.
The size of cells decreases.
The zygote also repeatedly divides to convert the large cytoplasmic mass into many small blastomeres.
