Open in App
Solution

When carbon dioxide gas(CO2) is bubbled through lime water, it reacts with the carbon hydroxide to produce calcium carbonate.
Ca(OH)2+CO2CaCO3+H2O
now, calcium carbonate CaCO3 is insoluble in water, it will precipitate from solution as it forms.
