1. Motor unit is the functional segment of skeletal muscles.
2. A motor unit contains two main components: a single different motor neuron (it is a neuron that carries signals away from the central nervous system) and all the muscle fibres.
3. Motor unit is made up of a single neuron that makes a group of skeletal muscles.
4. When the neurons receive impulses from brain, it stimulates all muscle fibres in a particular motor unit.
