What is a parasite?

Definition:

• A parasite is an organism that cannot survive on its own. It lives on or inside another organism (host) to survive.
• Usually, a parasite does not kill its host, however, some parasites might kill their hosts.

Examples:

• Microorganisms like some bacteria or fungi.
• Some other parasites are Lice, leeches, and tapeworm.
