Clostridium is obligate anaerobe, rod-shaped, spore-forming soil bacteria that can resist the killing by heat and disinfectants due to the formation of endospores. Botulism is the paralytic disease of human and animals caused by consumption of improperly canned food contaminated with neurotoxins of Clostridium botulinum. It does not refer to any skin or plant disease which makes options B and D incorrect and option C correct. Transfer of raw wine quickly into bottles after primary fermentation with bacterial culture to facilitate secondary/malolactic fermentation in bottles is known as bottle fermentation.
