Cycas is a gymnosperm.

Cycas come under the family
Cycadaceae.
They are evergreen palm-like plants with unbranched central stems, which are thick and scaly.
It possesses coralloid roots.
Coralloid roots are specialized roots found in Cycas which have an association with nitrogen-fixing cyanobacteria.
Cycas are concentrated around the equatorial regions - eastern and southeastern Asia.
Cycas are heterosporous, i.e., it produces two kinds of spores and there are separate male and female plants(dioecious).
