What is difference between peroxide and superoxide?

Peroxides are the compounds that are having Oxygen-Oxygen single bond.	Superoxide is the compounds that is having ${\mathrm{O}}_2^{-}$ anion.
2. The charge present on such compound is -2.	2. They represent a charge of -1 on it.
3. As there are single bond present between the Oxygen-Oxygen so the bond length is equal to $1.44{\mathrm{A}}^{°}$.	3. In super oxide the bond length is a little shorter than peroxide and is equal to$1.33{\mathrm{A}}^{°}$.
4. Peroxide compounds are usuallly formed by the alkali metals and Hydrogen (non metal).	4. Superoxide is a compound formed only by metals.
5. Example: ${\mathrm{H}}_2{\mathrm{O}}_2,{\mathrm{K}}_2{\mathrm{O}}_2,{\mathrm{Rb}}_2{\mathrm{O}}_2,\mathrm{etc}.$	5. Example: ${\mathrm{RbO}}_2,{\mathrm{KO}}_2$
